Oil may dissolve water or gas due to leakage, unstable-airproof, standing long term heat, or opening reserve. The contaminated oil contents water 50-60 ppm, while contenting gas 10%-20%.
The Breakdown Voltage of transformer oil impacted by the content of water, gas, impurity and contamination level. Even the unused oil absorbed water or gas in the process of transportation. So, it needs to be filtrated before and after usage. And the oil need to be degassed in the process of usage in terms of the Breakdown voltage easy affected due to gas and water content in different climate condition.
The expenses and time spend in maintenance of the electrical equipment would far more than that of the insulated oil. Therefore, making the most use of the equipment to gain the highest efficiency is the key requirement to save expenses. Vacuum purification is the most effective and cost-saving way.
